Wise Project, a Good practice for the European Commission
Project “WISE” has been quoted as a good practice by the European Commission
As a result of the project, two publications have been released.
The Guideline for European Policy maker demonstrates the important role WISEs play in achieving many of the European Union’s objectives. It addresses specific guidelines to European policy-makers in order to promote the role of WISEs in European policies.
The eight cross-cutting reports set out how WISEs could make a better contribution to policies in the country concerned and identify policy guidelines for national and local policy-makers.

The objective of this project is to promote innovative actions relating to the management of information, consultation and participation, with the view of supporting the anticipation of change and the prevention and resolution of disputes in the context of corporate restructuring, mergers, take-overs and relocation in European Union -scale undertakings and European Union -scale groups of undertakings. The project aims to analyse the role of workers information and consultation in SMEs in a post-economic crisis time. It deals with the promotion of innovative practices. In particular, a research focused on specific enterprises/case studies will be published.
“Analyse the role plays by the information and consultation in the aftermath of economic and financial crisis in Europe for what in SMEs are concerned, in particular in three specific areas :
1) Collection and analysis of the successful and innovative practices of information and consultation rights in processes of reorganisation and refinancing of SMEs based on specific company cases
2) Investigation on how the exercises of information and consultation rights have allowed a better management of dismissals, re-qualification and re-employment of local workforce.
3) Investigation on how information and consultation rights can trigger virtuous mechanism for strengthening competitiveness of companies for instance encouraging investments in new technologies and new areas of business
