“Transforming spaces through art and culture” is a photographic exhibition organised by Diesis in the framework of the CASYE project, in partnership with the Belgian association Communa. 

The exposition highlights best practices of social economy organisations who has renovated spaces with the use of art and culture to create new environment that have a positive social impact. The exhibition offers a pathway to discover the impact, both from a cultural, social, and environmental point of view, that social enterprises can have when they manage to re-think spaces at the hearth of communities. Through visual representations (photographs, plans and videos) you will be able to discover best practices from several EU countries, such as Italy, Belgium, Spain, Poland, and Latvia.  

The exhibition will take place from the 9th to the 12th of June in Maxima (Rue du Monténégro 144), one of the spaces managed by Communa in Brussels. The inauguration of the exhibition will take place in the afternoon of the 9th of June, starting from 4.30 to 7 pm, with a short presentation at 5 pm.

This exhibition is the Belgian event of one of Diesis’ Erasmus+ projects, CASYE (Cultural and Social Youth Entrepreneurship) which aim is to support youth entrepreneurship in the creative sector through the development learning tools and materials on social economy and creative and cultural industries.
