Mission:

The Lebanese Social Enterprises (LSE) is a registered Lebanese Association and its mission is to advance social enterprises by contributing to their administrative and financial development. The organization aims to amplify the social and environmental impact of affiliated social enterprises through comprehensive support.

LSE Activities:

  • Securing the status of “Social Enterprise” to the members of the association, granting them access to its services and support.
  • Pioneering the establishment of laws and regulations to govern the social entrepreneurship sector in Lebanon.
  • Facilitating access to financial resources and connecting social enterprises to potential investors (persons or institutions).
  • Assisting affiliated institutions in accessing domestic and global markets, and establishing partnerships with international organizations.
  • Encouraging societal participation in economic growth and impact the environmental and social development in Lebanon, by promoting the creation of new social enterprises.
  • Facilitating networking activities that connect social enterprises with potential local and international funders, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Social Procurement Campaign for SEs: Consolidating products and services of SEs into a portfolio, promoting it in locally and internationally to connect SEs with potential customers and partners.
  • Building capacities of SEs: Providing trainings conducted by experts in scaling, marketing, social entrepreneurship, and governance to support SEs in expanding their activities and impact.
  • Offering common services benefiting all SEs, such as shared marketing services, insurance, and export consolidation.
  • Awareness sessions: Encouraging traditional social enterprises and regular for-profit companies to adopt a social enterprise business model.
  • Managing LSE operations at different levels, including advocacy, partnership evaluation committees, research, and handling social media marketing and newsletters.
  • Task Force Involvement: LSE actively leads and participates in the Social and Solidarity Economy Task Force (SSE TF) in Lebanon, playing a crucial role in contributing insights and recommendations for policy development and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to strengthen the social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
