Ana Mota

Communications Officer

Ana Mota is a dedicated communicator driven by a profound love for storytelling, social media, and social change. She has a bachelor’s in Journalism and Communication with a Minor in Modern Languages English from the University of Coimbra and a master’s in Journalism from Nova University Lisbon. During her formation, Ana began to dive into journalism and audiovisual content creation in an academic association of her faculty. She then passed by various media outlets. It was when she did a traineeship in the Audiovisual Unit of the European Parliament that she discovered her love for European Democracy. She got hands-on with promotion, social media, and video content creation. Before starting in Diesis, Ana was a journalist and social media manager at the non-profit newspaper “Setenta e Quatro” where she engaged in in-depth reporting and held the responsibility of steering the journal’s social media presence and community engagement.

Now, she is excited to contribute to Diesis Network’s communication goals and use her skills to amplify the importance of the social economy and highlighting its vital role in creating a more sustainable future.
