Founded in 2015, İhtiyaç Haritası (Needs Map) is a non-profit social cooperative. Needs Map provides innovative and technology solutions to societal problems, such as primarily but not limited to implementing tailor-made digital mapping platforms with GIS technologies as products for the civil field and the social economy. The main Needs Map platform is an online platform that connects people in need with individuals, companies, and organisations who want to provide support. By mapping out verified needs, the platform facilitates in-kind and in-cash donations, as well as volunteer support, establishing a culture of solidarity and local sustainable development. Needs Map is also a prominent actor in on-the-ground humanitarian aid, playing a crucial role during disasters. Needs Map is established in Istanbul, Türkiye and currently has offices in the UK, Belgium and Italy.
