ITALY
COSV ngo is an Italian registered international ngo active worldwide in the field of development cooperation since 1968. In last decade COSV has focused on inclusive socio-economic development and social cohesion in the Balkans and MENA Region, embedding the social economy approach as driver of change to its regional strategies. Recently COSV has launched the Social Economy Unit, branded under the Social2square initiative and the creation of Co-profit srl Benefit Corporation, two important tools to scale sustainable social innovation across the Med-area.
OBJECTIVE
COSV is engaged in promoting pluralism of forms of social economy by developing innovative incubation programs and research cross-domain with the development cooperation framework; COSV always act as “third party” organization by facilitating the intercultural dialogue and exchange among experienced SE ecosystem and young one.
ACTIVITIES

- COSV is working in the Balkans since 1999 and in Albania since July 2018. Their Regional strategy and programs are focused sustainable tourism, social inclusion of Roma, social and green economy, social agriculture. In Albania they are leading an initiative co-funded by the EU named TOKA JONE re-used of confiscate land for social agriculture and they are partner in a an initiative funded by SIDA, GREEN AL to support environmental impact of CSO, more recently we are in the preparation for the launch of an important program funded by AICS for promotion of sustainable tourism and green transition for the Lakes of ALBANIA. In Montenegro we are leading a program co funded by EU for creation of a public-private circular hub and in North Macedonia, they are leading two eu funded BAIR an initiative on urban regeneration and social housing for social inclusion of Roma and ENTEG for entrepreneurship skill and employability scheme of youth in the tertiary education, included Roma one.
- COSV is present in the MENA REGION since 2004. Their regional strategy is strongly focused on social economy and its impact of the different development ecosystem level. In Lebanon they are currently partner of SEE CHANGE (Social Enterprise Ecosystem Change) funded by EU, in which they are leading a pilot component on social justice incubation, by promoting collaborative economy through the new model of social enterprise such as community-enterprise, school-enterprise, and ngo in transition and public-private SE and conducting and impact analysis that these model could have different policy.
