POLAND
The Foundation for Social and Economic Initiatives (FISE) is an independent non-profit organisation created in 1990. FISE’s mission is the creation of descent job opportunities for every person, who would want to work and develop, with special focus on those who are at risk of social exclusion. Since 2005 FISE have been animating discussions among NGOs, public administration and business about the development of the social economy sector in Poland. In 2016 we started new activities focused on social innovations search, especially in the field of supporting NEETs in getting an employment.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- The foundation manages and carries out projects in such domains as labour market and employment/unemployment as well as social entrepreneurship and social innovations. Main activities of the foundation target social enterprises and social innovators, labour market institutions, non-profit organisations and individuals at risk of social exclusion.
- Moreover FISE has been running The Best Social Enterprise of the Year Competition since 2011. It’s the only Poland-wide competition for social enterprises with financial rewards.
- It manages two web portals: www.rynekpracy.org dedicated to labour market institutions and unemployment matters and www.ekonomiaspoleczna.pl – focused on issues of social entrepreneurship, social economy organisations, non-profit activities and social inclusion matters.
