Family & Childcare Centre (KMOP) is a leading non-profit organisation, founded in 1977 – one of the oldest Greek NGOs – with 40 years of accumulated experience in the provision of services to disadvantaged groups. Under the moto “No Skills to Waste: Diversity makes the difference”, which reflects the belief in every individual’s potential to enrich society, KMOP aims to empower vulnerable groups through innovative and integrated social services, focusing on local and regional development of underprivileged areas, as well as cultivating employability skills, both formal and informal.

KMOP works with the public and private sectors and civil society to drive solution-oriented, knowledge-based interventions that are crucial to fostering resilience and making the world a better place to live. By capitalising on its experience and solid background in social protection and empowering vulnerable populations, it has managed to cultivate and establish international collaborations, allowing not only to promote social innovation through transnational activities within the EU, but also to provide hands-on support in developing countries (like Kosovo, FYROM, Moldova, Egypt and Bosnia & Herzegovina), through technical assistance contracts and action grants. KMOP’s main goal and vision is to contribute to making a positive difference in the lives of socially vulnerable groups, bringing about sustainable improvements in their lives.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
