Partners Albania for Change and Development (Partners Albania, PA) is an independent Albanian NGO established in 2001, working to support civil society and facilitate inter-sector cooperation in order to strengthen democratic institutions and advance economic development. With more than 20 years of experience, PA combines local knowledge with innovative tools and techniques to build platforms for communities, civil society organizations, government and business, and facilitate participatory processes to advance constructive change towards sustainable development.

PA has organized its interventions into four key programmatic areas:

1) Enabling Environment and Sustainable Development of Civil Society;

2) Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation;

3) Philanthropic activity and support infrastructure;

4) Transparent and accountable participatory governance.

Partners Albania is a member of Partners Network, a partnership of 19 independent, local organisations in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle-East working for peaceful and democratic change. PA is also a member of several European and regional networks, such as: BCSDN, ECAS, DIESIS, ANNA LINDH, WINGS, Alliance for Peacebuilding, CHANCE – Civil Hub Against orgaNised Crime in Europe, etc.

Partners Albania is a member of the Code of Standards for Civil Society Organizations and plays the role of Secretariat of the Code through the National Resource Centre for Civil Society in Albania.

To fulfill its mission in the Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation programmatic area, PA has over a decade of experience in developing and supporting the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and social enterprises (SEs) through: research, advocacy, seed funding, expertise (capacity building and mentoring in developing business ideas), networking opportunities and exposure to international markets.
