From 2015 to 2018 Diesis was a member of GECES, the European Commission Expert Group on Social Entrepreneurship, which the Commission consults on the development, setting up and implementation of all the actions mentioned in the Social Business Initiative and the further development of social entrepreneurship and social economy. 

Dorotea Daniele was the rapporteur of the working group on “Improving the legal environment” and co-wrote the GECES report “Social enterprises and the social economy going forward – A call for action from the Commission Expert Group on Social Entrepreneurship (GECES)”, published by the Commision in October 2016.
