Francisco Martinez

Senior Expert

Francisco Martinez is an agronomist with specialized studies in organic agriculture from Spain and the United States. He focuses on social rural development at both regional and international levels. With 8 years of experience, Francisco has worked on rural economic and agricultural development projects, microcredit management for women’s groups, and the digitalization of small producers. Since September 2013, he has concentrated on cooperation in Europe, developing rural social enterprises within the organic and inclusive agriculture sector and social economy. Francisco has 14 years of experience in euro-design, writing project proposals for funding programs such as Horizon, LIFE, Erasmus+, and regional funds. He also has expertise in training on Social Economy and Rural Development Programs (RDPs) as both a lecturer and a proposal designer. In his projects, Francisco has established participatory design spaces that foster social innovation through the exchange of ideas and skills among public and private stakeholders.
