Frederica joined Diesis in October 2024. A young professional bringing a diverse background in communications, having experience across various sectors in both Portugal and Belgium.
Her journey began with a degree in Communication and Cultural Studies in Lisbon, where she developed a solid foundation in effective communication strategies. Frederica launched her career in the public sector before expanding her expertise in a communications agency, collaborating with a photographer, and working within an engineering firm.
With a desire to deepen her understanding of global issues, she pursued a Master’s degree in Development Studies. Focusing her studies on the role of social media in promoting the well-being of refugees, which sparked her passion for working with international organizations and NGOs. Following her master’s, she entered this dynamic field, where she worked for children’s rights and gender equality. Frederica has led and participated in various campaigns under both humanitarian and European frameworks, striving to make a positive impact in these crucial areas.
