After graduating in Philosophy, Sabina Bellione undertook a Master’s Degree in Management of Public Services at the Politecnico of Milan. Since then, she has been working in the field of local development to support social enterprises start up and development. For ten years she has been Vice president of a Cooperatives Employers’ association at regional level dealing with social enterprises support and development and she has been Chairwoman of Consorzio Sociale Light (a consortium of social enterprises based in Italy) and has been responsible for all activities concerning social Economy and Social Inclusion targeting different types of disadvantaged target groups (e.g. disabled, refugees etc.). In more than 15 years of experience she had developed extensive and deep expertise on all issues related to social economy development from start-up techniques to funding systems and mechanisms, to effective development strategies and internationalisation.
