ISTO celebrates 60 years and aims to raise awareness about fair and sustainable tourism for all, and inspire other organisations to implement a more inclusive, more accessible, and responsible form of tourism. It took place on November 28-30th in Brussels, the event features diverse speakers discussing industry trends and collaborative efforts to ensure a sustainable future.
Our Executive president, Gianluca Pastorelli, is the President of ISTO Europe section and was one of the speakers of the session “Sustainability – What are the regulatory developments? SDGs: where do we stand?”.
Two of our projects had their final conference: Storydoers, a project focusing on revitalising tourism in smaller, pandemic-affected rural areas by turning business values into action, and EYSET, a project empowering youth workers to foster social entrepreneurship in the tourism industry, promoting inclusivity and showcasing the leadership potential of youths with disabilities.
